• Talking to God, just like you talk to anyone else. Thank Him, asking for help, confess sin, and share what’s on your heart.

  • No secret handshake, special posture, or fancy vocabulary is required. God wants you to talk to Him.

  • Honestly and respectfully. He loves you, but He isn’t a genie who exists to grant wishes.

  • Jesus warned against praying to impress people or thinking lots of words make prayer more effective. The issue is your heart.

  • Jesus gave it to us as a model for prayer. Its not about repeating some magical words as much as it is about the position of our heart should be when we are talking to God the Father.

  • Familiar words can still be sincere. We can definitely can pray the same thing over and over. The concern is repeating word without meaning what you say as much as it is about being real and talking to God.
